he doesnt ask everyday, what i mean dave gets a list of how many songs, lets say 100, shows it to management and they go "ok well let you have van halen but you cant have in the army now by status quo.
I thought Dave picked them and management approved (or declined) them. However, didn't they once play a song for tedious link they couldn't understand why the music department gave it them to play?
I'm thinking that the music department now chooses their songs (since the start of breakfast) otherwise while in portugal, dave figures out where the link goes then the music deparment then sends a CD on a plane. otherwise it would have to be placed on their VCS machine
umm.. i *think* they generally use mini-discs and more digital sound files on computer rather than CDs I think you'll find, however - for Buzz Off, they use Chris' own personal CDs, which are VERY varied it seems!!
infact Radio 1 are slowly fading out minidisc use. Minidisc isnt up to scratch on CD quality when it comes to DAB bit rates etc... You'll notice on the general OB's now, all songs are played off CD when it used to be minidisc. and when in the studio its nearly all VCS, other than Buzz Off.
