The only reason they're richer in the South is because of the such high costs of living up here. If things don't change I might have to do the unthinkable and move into "The North" before long.

Another thing - where is the North-South divide? IMHO anything north of Northampton is North to be honest. Then the Northerners get Coventry...

Right theres nothing wrong with being a Midlands person actually Ok the accent is slightly airritating at times but otherwise being from the midlands is cool. We even get the comedy genious of Nick Owen on Midlands Today every night
